Nice is (more than) nice
I fell in love with Nice deeply and irremediably. The color of the sea and the old town’s architecture stole my heart and I don’t intend to take it back.
We took a stroll on Promenade des Anglais by the Mediterranean to the old town, passing by Place Massena, near which I discovered a fascinating public space (I think it is a recent project) with an interesting system of water fountains, sprinkles and steam, apparently very simply resolved but very effective. I’ve never seen a public area to involve so many people of all ages (but mostly children) that were actually interacting and having fun! Watch and learn, dear urbanists and architects 🙂
And the old town… man, how I wish to go back and have some photoshoots on those streets! I found them so beautiful and inspiring…!
Here I ate the best macarons in my life (at LAC Chocolatier). Oh, and by the way! In Juan-les-Pins (a small touristic town by the sea near Nice, where we were staying) I ate an amazing crepe au Grand Marnier, totally recommend it!
Definitely climb all the way up to the castle hill for the breathtaking views of the city and shoreline!
Nice the Beautiful, as it is said to be called, fully deserves its name. It’s definitely somewhere in my top 5 favourites and a place I’m going back to with the very first occasion.
